from Series of Art Health Score Chance Haiku Collage
As I was creating a score book for the Day de Dada Art Nurse performances in Boston, I started thinking about visual art health care scores and creating them using the chance haiku technique I had employed to make collage in the past.
My process is to go through magazines and books and collect phrases that are 5 and 7 syllables long, then arranged them in the 5-7-5 format of haiku poetry. When I have an arrangement that I like I add an image to use as background. As often is the case I am amazed at the interesting ideas that occur with the connecting of the phrases.
