Due to the state of the country my work has been more political this past year. With lots of inspiration from Seth Tobocman's class in January, I learned ways to use text with images and created the piece that was published in Maintenant 19, my "5 stages of grief". In October, I performed an updated version of it for the readings at Jefferson Market Library (NYC).
I was able to reveal my "BIG ORANGE MONSTER" with "La DooDoo" collages exhibited at "Big Orange Monster: An Emergency Collage Exhibition" at Kolaj Institute Gallery, New Orleans, and "Decades of Mailing It In" exhibit at Squirrel Haus in Minneapolis, Minn.
